Ten-plus years reading data for a living, a diabetes diagnosis at 29, and a family history that couldn't be ignored — here's how Being Healthier Mission came to be.
At 29, I was diagnosed with diabetes. It was a wake-up call — the result of years of poor lifestyle choices and a stressful, sedentary career built around spreadsheets and deadlines. It also forced me to look honestly at my family's health history: my mother's long battle with diabetes, and my father's heart issues, which included a cardiac arrest at 55. Sitting in a hospital as his attendant was the first time I truly understood how disorganized and overwhelming health information is for most families — scattered across doctors, forums, and well-meaning but conflicting advice.
Rather than accept the diagnosis as a life sentence, I went looking for answers — in nutrition science, in fitness, in mental well-being, and in the Ayurvedic knowledge my own maternal grandfather had practiced for years, including pulse diagnosis (Nadi Parikshan) and traditional Ayurvedic nutrition. That search became a formal one: certifications in health coaching, yoga, and nutrigenomics, built on top of the analytical thinking I'd already spent a decade sharpening as a data scientist.
Today, I bring both worlds together. The same rigor I used for over ten years to validate risk models in banking and financial services now goes into reading your blood work, your genetic profile, and your daily patterns — so the plan I build with you is based on your data, not a generic chart.
Being Healthier Mission exists to be the trusted curator in a noisy world of health advice: taking what actually works from modern nutrition science, nutrigenomics, and Ayurvedic tradition, and turning it into a simple, personal plan you can actually follow.
Began a career reading numbers for a living — first as a junior programmer, building the analytical foundation that still shapes how I coach today.
Ten-plus years across banking and financial services as a Data Analyst, Data Ops Team Lead, and Model Validation specialist — learning to trust evidence over assumption.
Diagnosed with diabetes. It became the turning point that sent me looking for real, sustainable answers — for myself and my family.
Completed the Health & Wellness Coach Program with Weljii, in collaboration with the Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC).
Completed the Certificate Course in Nutrigenomics through Welocity Genetics, graduating with distinction (89.6%).
Coaching individuals and families through diabetes reversal, detox, heart health, and everyday nutrition — combining data, genetics, and Ayurveda.
Health coaching is full of generic advice that ignores individual differences. A decade spent validating models taught me to distrust one-size-fits-all answers — the same instinct now goes into reading your lab reports, genetic markers, and daily habits before building your plan.
It's why Being Healthier Mission leans on nutrigenomics and structured tracking, not just meal templates.
Health coaching, for me, was never learned in isolation — it was shaped by the people around me.
My first exposure to structured nutrition thinking came early, through family who introduced me to the fundamentals of everyday wellness.
My maternal grandfather, an Ayurveda practitioner, taught me pulse diagnosis (Nadi Parikshan) and traditional Ayurvedic nutrition principles I still draw on today.
Watching my father rebuild his health through lifestyle change after a cardiac arrest showed me, firsthand, that reversal is possible.
